Grace Confronts Ex-Fiancé

Chapter 3

One morning, Grace jumped out of bed feeling mad as heck!  She’d been returning the Wedding gifts that she and the ex-fiancé DOOFUS ASSWIPE, the 3rd, had received from the guests, and discovered that a very expensive item, with a GOLDEN touch, was missing from the piles of presents. The only person that could have taken it—had to be Doofus! So, off Grace went, on a plane from New York to Krakow, to fix these matters.

‘…It was bad enough that Doofus abandoned Me at the altar and then that I have had to live with the shame of it…. But for him…to have stolen the golden knickknack, too? Now, this is the ultimate betrayal—and the last draw for smelly butt Doofus!’

Grace arrived at the B&B they had bought together; with HER MONEY and name on the deed; and she couldn’t believe… how RUNDOWN Doofus had let the establishment become! Look at it; it’s a disgrace!

Grace stood there, for a moment, seeing the filth; and the two portraits hanging on the wall. And thought to herself: the gall of you, Doofus—to have placed my picture below yours, as if you have ‘one up’ on me! She then drew near to the portrait of him, and tapped on the man seated at the right side of the table, and whispered, “You, sir, biggest gambler of all, are in for a rude awakening!”

She then reached inside her Vintage purse and pulled forth her coiled, leather whip, and made her way to the GAMBLERS’ PLAYROOM. And there, she found old DOOFUS and his 3 amigos—GAMBLING; and she let-off and WHIPPED the daylights out of all four of them! They were too drunk to overtake her, she later told me; but they also were smart enough to FLEE and never come back!

Grace then flipped the B&B to the highest of standards and sold it dirt-cheap to the new owners, on two conditions: That they keep her 2 favorite pictures on that wall, permanently… and, that they give this knickknack, with the golden touch, to its rightful owner when she comes to pick it up.

“Deal?” she asked them.

“Deal!” they responded, too afraid to double-cross the woman with the bitchface!
